“Faces of Our Land: Decolonizing Urban Identities'' (FOL) is more than a series of paintings, it is artistic journalism. FOL is a multimedia platform that showcases the urban Indian community. This platform is committed to investigating questions regarding general experiences as Indigenous people, how Native American people find themselves in urban spaces, how to navigatenegative urban Indian stereotypes, and thoughts on the stereotype itself; all of which are the backbone of this project. Authentic words from members of the urban Indian community provide the viewer genuine narratives and conceptual context to the urban Indian identity.
